Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson (born 29 October 1987) is a Swedish singer and songwriter, professionally known as Tove Lo,. Called by Rolling Stone "Sweden's darkest rock export," she is known for her raw, grunge-influenced approach to pop music. Her frank, complex and autobiographical lyric content has led her to be nicknamed "the saddest Swedish child."Heads up in Djursholm district of Danderyd, a northern suburb of Stockholm, Lo is an alumn of the Rytmus Musikergymnasiet music academy. In 2006 she formed the rock band Tremblebee. Lo sought a songwriting career after it dissolved, and in 2011 won a publishing contract with Warner / Chappell Music.
