Valerie Gogan is a Scottish playwright. Based in Scotland in 1960/1961, Gogan left her native Glasgow to study at LAMDA during the 1980s. Her film debut was made in Dangerous Liaisons. She later appeared in The High Country's One More Kiss and Heart, and played a significant recurring role in the Hamish Macbeth BBC series. Through Waking the Dead, The Bill, Doctors, Peak Practice and David Copperfield, she is also recognised for her major roles. She also appeared on stage for The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre, and in London's West End, performing in A Doll's House, Les liaisons dangereuses, The Rehearsal, and The Hidden Rapture and others.
