Vanessa Lee Carlton (born August 16, 1980) is an American musician, singer and songwriter. Endless supply of her instruction at the School of American Ballet, Carlton decided to seek after singing rather, acting in New York City bars and clubs while going to school. A quarter of a year in the wake of recording a demo with maker Peter Zizzo, she marked with A&M Records. She started recording her collection, which was at first fruitless until Ron Fair dominated. She is at present embraced by Orange Amps. Her introduction single, "A Thousand Miles", arrived at the best five on the Billboard Hot 100 out of 2002. Her presentation collection, Be Not Nobody, followed and got a platinum confirmation in the United States.
