William Daniels, born in Brooklyn, New York, is an American artist. Raised in 1927 to David Daniels, bricklayer, and his wife Irene. Daniels had been a member of the Brooklyn singing Daniels band. In 1943, at age 16, he made his television debut as part of a variety act. Daniels made his movie debut at the age of 36, in 1963. He made his debut in the Cold War-themed film "Ladybug Ladybug" (1963), where he played Mr. Calkins, the school principal. His next role in the cinema was the comedy-drama film "A Thousand Clowns" (1965), in which Albert Amundson played child welfare officer. In "The Bachelor" (1967), Daniels played the part of protagonist Benjamin Brad's father.
