William Horace Marshall (19 August 1924–11 June 2003) was an American actor, producer and composer of opera. He played the title role in the 1972 blaxploitation film Blacula and its sequel Scream Blacula Scream (1973), and starred on the 1980s television show Pee-wee's Playhouse as the King of Cartoons, and on the Star Trek television series as Dr Richard Daystrom.Marshall made his Broadway debut in Carmen Jones in 1944. He understudied Boris Karloff in the Broadway production of Peter Pan as Captain Hook in 1950. He played De Lawd's leading role in the revival of The Green Pastures in 1951, a part he portrayed in a BBC television of the play in 1958
