Zita Johann was born in Temesvar, Austria-Hungary on 14 July 1904. Best for The Mummy (1932), The Sin of Nora Moran (1933), and Tiger Shark (1932), she was an actor. She was married to John McCormick and John Houseman, Bernard Edward Shedd (Schetnitz). She died in Nyack, New York, United States on September 20, 1993.When she was 7, she and her family moved to New York City and performed in high school plays. She had roles in "Peer Gynt," "The Devil's Disciple" and "He Who Gets Slapped" touring plays. In 1924, she made her Broadway debut in "He and the Crowd" production by the Theater Guild.
