Zoe Saldana was born in Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldaña, in Passaic, New Jersey, in June 19, 1978. Dominican her father and Puerto Rican her mother. In Quéens, New York, she was brought up. When she was 10 years old, she and her family moved to the Dominican Republic, where they would live for the next seven years.During her time at the ECOS Espacio de Dance Academy she learnt ballet and other dance forms, but then Zoe discovered a strong interest of performance dance and began a training course.
