Derek Theler is an American model and actor. He was born on 29 October 1986, in Alaska. He grew up playing sports, loved riding motorcycles and earned a degree in Pre medicine from Colorado State. He appeared as a model in Nike, Coke Zero, Kayak, Arby's, State Farm and Verizon ad commercials.Derek started his acting career in 2009, performing numerous minor roles in television series such as The Middle, Cougar Town, and The Hills. Theler worked as a model in television commercials between acting gigs. He first landed a coveted Coke Zero commercial in 2009.This was followed by a campaign for State Farm, where he played a "hot guy" that three women had conjured up. He has also been in commercials for Nike, Kayak.com, Arby's and Verizon. Besides acting, he was also the author and executive producer of a short film called Intrusion. He enjoys playing football and swimming in his free time. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
