How tall was Ed Lauter?

Edward Matthew Lauter II was born in Long Beach, New York, on 30 October 1938. In a film career that spanned more than four decades, Lauter appeared in a multitude of film and television productions before making his big screen debut in the western Dirty Little Billy (1972). Over the years he played an diverse variety of personalities, including (but not limited to) authority / military figures, edgy villains and heavy-hearted ones. Some will recall him for his role in The Longest Yard (1974) as strict Captain Wilhelm Knauer (Lauter also made a cameo in the 2005 remake).
