Rough'n'tumble character actor Ed O'Ross was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as Ed Oross on July 4, 1946. As a teenager he was an altar boy, and in 1964 he graduated from Munhall High. O'Ross also attended Point Park University and Carnegie Tech following graduation. Since embarking on an acting career, he was an amateur Golden Gloves boxing champion, and a minor league baseball player.
