Joseph Charles John Piscopo (PIS-co-po; born 17 June 1951) is an American comedian, performer, musician, writer and host of a radio talk show. He is best known for his work in early 1980s on Saturday Night Live where he portrayed a number of recurring characters.Piscopo, born in Passaic, New Jersey, grew up in North Caldwell[1] and attended West Essex High School and was a member of the "The Masquers" drama club[2][3]. He developed a reputation for never playing a part in the way it was written. Piscopo attended Jones College in Jacksonville, Florida, after graduating from high school in 1969, where he earned a degree in broadcast management.
