Luke Timothy Grimes is an American actor (born January 21, 1984). He is best known for his appearances in the acclaimed movie American Sniper and the film series Fifty Shades.Grimes was born the son of a Pentecostal minister in Dayton, Ohio. Grimes graduated from Dayton Christian High School in 2002. He moved to New York City to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and pursue acting. He also appeared alongside Haley Bennett and Mary Steenburgen in the 2010 FX film pilot, "Outlaw Country." Grimes used to play a cowboy named Eli Larkin. FX did not take up the show but the pilot aired as a TV film on August 23, 2012. In 2012, he starred as boyfriend of Neeson's daughter in the Liam Neeson film Taken 2.
