The Belgian director, maker of movies and graffiti artist Matthias Schoenaerts. He premiered at the age of 13 at Daens, where he was nominated as the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award. Born in Antwerp (Belgium), Matthias Schoenaerts was 8.13.1977. His mother, Dominique Wiche, was a costume designer, a translator, and was French teacher. He debuted at the age of 13, alongside his father in the Belgian movie Daens (1992) nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award. Schoenaerts was accepted to the movie school but was evicted in his second year for poor attendance. At the age of 21, he studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Antwerp and worked on Belgian TV and Belgian film in smaller careers.
