Stephen James Backshall MBE (born April 21, 1973) is a BAFTA-winning English naturalist, novelist and TV host, best known for Deadly 60 on BBC TV. His other research on the BBC included being part of the excavation teams in Lost Land of the Wolf, Volcano Lost Land and Jaguar Lost Land. He has worked with the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel.He has published three children books and other plays of no fiction.
