How tall was Paul Gleason?
Character actor Paul Gleason played tough guys and white collar sleazebags and made his screen debut in Winter A-Go-Go (1965). To play such unlikeable roles he made a name for himself.A native of Jersey City, New Jersey, Gleason studied extensively with Lee Strasberg (his mentor) at the Actor's Studio in New York City in the mid-60s, and was seen in a handful of Roger Corman productions before landing a three-year role at the All My Children TV soap opera (1970). He has starred in more than 60 movies, with main roles in Trading Places (1983), Die Hard (1988), Miami Blues (1990), Boiling Point (1993) and Van Wilder: Party Liaison (2002). He is probably best known in The Breakfast Club (1985) for his role as the no-nonsense principal "Richard Vernon"
